The straight razor portion is faked. The blade is being stroked perpendicular to the skin, rather than almost tangential to it. They probably put shaving cream on over the stubble, shaved it with a safety razor, reapplied the shaving cream, then faked the shot. Also there's no dark stubble mixed in with the shaving cream wiped onto the towel, it's pure white.
